Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park – the park, being just over 137sq km is actually the merger of 3 regions, Meru Crater National Park, Momella Lakes and Ngurdoto Crater. 

Due to the wide range of habitats it is hosts a wide variety of wildlife.  The Ngurdoto Crater, being much a forest area, is home to troops of black and white colobus and blue monkeys, whilst the Momella Lakes offers close up views of waterbuck, buffalo, myriad waterfowl. Lastly as the name says, in the Meru Crater region, you will also find the 4566m tall, Mount Meru.  Great opportunities for serious hikers to climb.  An impressive mountain that is classified as a dormant volcano last erupted over 100 years ago. Great views of Mt Kilimanjaro as well.
